This policy describes the personal data processing rules by the Yango Group (hereinafter - we, us) processes personal data of job applicants (hereinafter - you).

Your personal data is processed by a legal entity within Yango Group that is considering the candidate for an open vacancy.

This company acts as a data controller under applicable privacy laws, and determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.

3. What Personal Data Is Processed?

3.1. Information you provide (through our careers webpage, job websites, etc.):

  • Identification data and contact details: full name, age or date of birth, email address, phone number, language, photo, gender;

  • CV/resume data: education and job experience details, certifications and professional licenses, city/country, citizenship, language skills, interests and other information included in your CV and cover letter or portfolio, links to accounts in social media, salary expectations.

3.2. Information collected during interview process:

  • your answers to interviewers’ questions, tests, tasks or cases resolved by you;

  • interviews and assessments results, position(s) you wish to be considered, professional goals and other job preferences;

  • References: name and contact information for references, if you provide them.

  • Other information that could be relevant and you want to provide us.

  • Audio records.

The provision of your personal data is voluntary, however please note that if you choose not to provide it or if you provide incorrect information, we may not be able to process it for the recruitment purposes specified in this notice. We could obtain information from publicly available sources like job websites and social media, as well as information provided by references of our employees. We may also collect some data as part of our background check and involve suppliers for this. The choice of supplier depends on the region of a data controller.

The legal basis for your data processing is the intention to conclude the employment contract with you. Where applicable data protection law requires another legitimate basis, a data controller ensures this legitimate basis.

While our company may utilize AI-powered bots and tools to assist with communication and streamline the initial stages of the recruitment process, we do not engage in automated decision-making. All final hiring decisions are made exclusively by a human—specifically, the designated hiring manager.

4. How Is Your Personal Data Protected?

We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised, accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, modification, misuse, disclosure or access, and against any other type of unlawful processing.

These security measures have been implemented taking into account the state of the art, the cost of implementation, the risks posed by the processing, and the nature of the personal data concerned.

5. How Long Will Your Personal Data Be Retained?

5.1. We process your personal data until the recruitment and hiring process is completed.

5.2. The actual retention period depends on the personal data processed and the country where the processing takes place.

5.3. Yango has a legitimate interest to continue processing data of unsuccessful candidates for consideration for future openings. You are always entitled to refuse for such data processing at any time by sending a request to dpo-yt@yango.com.
