Yandex Qazaqstan is looking for a Legal Counsel to support the company’s international commercial projects. This role involves contractual work, regulatory analysis, legal advisory support, and coordination of product launch approvals.

You will be responsible for
• Developing templates for legal documents, negotiating and finalizing contracts, and participating in discussions with clients and partners
• Analyzing local regulations applicable to international projects involving user‑facing services
• Providing legal advice to colleagues on intellectual property, civil and administrative law, and data protection legislation
• Coordinating the approval process for product launches in various countries
You might be a fit if you have
• A university degree in law
• 5+ years of experience supporting projects in e‑commerce and online services
• Experience managing international IT projects
• A strong command of civil law, intellectual property law, and data protection requirements
• A solid understanding of various types of contracts (service agreements, agency contracts, commission agreements) and the ability to handle legal documentation with care and attention to detail
• Fluency in English, including the ability to work independently with legal documents and communicate with foreign legal advisors
• The ability to manage multiple tasks of equal priority effectively
• A willingness and ability to delve into the nuances of business and technology, and an openness to new areas of knowledge that may be non‑traditional for lawyers
