Yandex Qazaqstan is looking for an Occupational Health & Safety Specialist to build and maintain the safety management system at an auto repair shop and garage for autonomous vehicles in Almaty, Qazaqstan. This role involves dealing with a medical examination system, HSE training, hazardous waste handling, and incident investigation.

You will be responsible for
• Establishing and maintaining a telemedicine‑based system for mandatory driver medical examinations
• Conducting HSE briefings and training for office and operational personnel
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards during high‑risk activities
• Developing, updating, and maintaining HSE documentation
• Managing the hazardous waste handling process
• Investigating incidents and near‑misses, and implementing corrective actions
• Interacting with contractors, medical organizations, and regulatory bodies
• Performing daily on‑site walk‑throughs
You might be a fit if you have
• 3+ years of experience in occupational health and safety, preferably in auto repair centers, dealerships, transport companies, or taxi fleets with a similar workforce (drivers, mechanics, electricians)
• Work experience in Qazaqstan and a thorough knowledge of local occupational safety and environmental legislation
• Readiness to independently lead the Occupational Health & Safety domain at the facility
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office
• Full proficiency in Russian
It’s a plus if you:
• Have a relevant degree (a plus, but not critical; relevant practical experience is preferred)
• Speak English and Qazaq
