As Yango Group scales its merchant base, this role becomes one of the most critical on the Fintech team. You'll be the point where our engineering capability meets the merchant's real-world experience — the person who ensures that every new integration works, every payment flow converts, and every technical blocker gets resolved before it costs a merchant revenue.
You will be responsible for
• Building, maintaining, and improving Shopify app integrations, particularly payment flows
• Working with the development team to ensure integrations remain stable as the platform scales
• Identifying breaking changes early and contributing fixes and improvements
• Investigating complex issues across browsers, APIs, networks, and third-party systems
• Using Chrome DevTools, logs, stack traces, and other tools to identify root causes
• Acting as the technical point of contact between the platform and key merchants
• Resolving integration blockers and identifying areas of UX friction
• Sharing merchant feedback and technical insights with product and engineering teams
• Occasionally visiting merchants on-site when issues require in-person support
You might be a fit if you have
• Strong debugging skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and the DOM
• Experience using Chrome DevTools, including the console, network panel, and source maps
• Working knowledge of HTTP, REST APIs, CORS, CSP, cookies, sessions, and DNS
• An understanding of cross-browser behavior across Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and mobile browsers
• Basic command-line skills
• Conversational English (the development team communicates in English daily)
• The ability to explain technical issues clearly to engineers and merchants
It’d be a plus if you:
• Have experience with Shopify apps, particularly payment integrations • Are familiar with GraphQL or Python
