Yandex Uzbekistan is looking for an Android Development Lead in Tashkent to join the CoreTaxi team and work on core ride-hailing scenarios used daily by millions of users, leading development, architecture decisions, and delivery quality.

You will be responsible for
• Leading a team of Android developers, including growing the team, conducting performance reviews, and hiring engineers
• Making architectural decisions, maintaining codebase modularity, and improving CI/CD processes
• Participating in product discovery and planning, analyzing metrics, and ensuring release quality and timelines
• Adapting the application for new markets, taking into account local specifics
• Optimizing the application for a wide range of devices and improving accessibility and performance
You might be a fit if you have
• Experience leading engineering teams
• Strong expertise in mobile application architecture
• The ability to establish development processes, define quality metrics, and manage delivery
• An understanding of UI/UX principles and the ability to estimate implementation complexity
• A strong focus on building scalable and maintainable solutions
