Business Development Manager (Angola)

Yango Tech is looking for a Business Development Manager to work with enterprise and government clients in Angola across FinTech, MedTech, AI platforms, data centers, and public sector organizations. In this role, you will connect Yango Tech’s AI capabilities with customer needs, identify high-impact opportunities, structure pilot engagements, and guide transformation programs from concept to production in regulated, mission-critical environments. This is a strategic business development role combining commercial leadership, technical understanding, and stakeholder management.
You will be responsible for
• Building and owning long-term enterprise accounts and managing full sales cycles for complex, multi-million-dollar engagements in regulated industries • Developing and executing account strategies across FinTech institutions, healthcare systems, AI-native companies, data center operators, and government entities • Navigating multi-stakeholder environments and engaging with senior government officials, board members, executives, and regulatory teams • Building and managing a pipeline from $250K pilot engagements to $5M–$20M+ multi-year infrastructure and platform contracts • Embedding with customer teams to understand operational challenges, regulatory constraints, and strategic objectives • Identifying and qualifying AI use cases across payments, lending, clinical care, drug discovery, AI agents, compute infrastructure, and citizen services • Partnering with Solution Architects to design pilot programs that demonstrate measurable value while meeting compliance requirements • Leading executive presentations, technical demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements • Guiding customers from pilot to enterprise deployment and identifying expansion opportunities across verticals • Monitoring industry and regulatory developments across focus sectors • Sharing customer insights with product and engineering teams to shape roadmap priorities • Contributing to market positioning through industry engagement and thought leadership activities
You might be a fit if you have
• 5–10+ years of experience in enterprise sales, business development, or consulting • Experience working with FinTech, HealthTech, AI platforms, infrastructure/cloud services, or government entities • A proven track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals in regulated industries • Experience selling to enterprise financial institutions, healthcare systems, government entities, or infrastructure buyers in Africa • A background in consulting, investment banking, or high-growth technology environments (preferred) • Deep expertise in at least one focus area (FinTech, MedTech, AI agents, data centers, or gov/city tech), with readiness to expand across others • Fluency in English and Portuguese
