We’re looking for a bilingual Spanish-English Corporate Affairs Manager to engage with union drivers, taxi unions, and policymakers. You’ll also be fostering partnerships and managing stakeholders.
You will be responsible for
• Developing and executing a cohesive strategy for engaging with ride-hailing union drivers, taxi unions, and other stakeholders to mitigate risks and foster a collaborative environment • Coordinating and organizing events that bring together union drivers, company representatives, and government authorities to promote dialogue and partnership • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key policymakers, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders in the ride-hailing industry in Colombia • Preparing detailed briefings on policy stakeholders and policymakers to inform and guide the company's engagement strategies • Providing strategic insights and recommendations to company leadership regarding the potential impacts of political, regulatory, and legislative developments • Conducting comprehensive analysis and generating internal reports on political, regulatory, and legislative trends that affect the ride-hailing sector • Serving as the company's representative in meetings with mid-level government officials, unions, and industry associations, advocating for policies that support the ride-hailing ecosystem • Collaborating with consultants in each country to ensure the alignment of strategies and efforts, and assisting with administrative tasks as needed
You might be a fit if you have
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, international relations, or a related field • Have 5+ years of experience in government relations, public policy, or a related field, with a strong focus on Colombia • Are able to develop and implement successful public policy strategies and initiatives • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proficiency in Spanish • Have a proven track record in building and managing relationships with government officials, policymakers, and stakeholders • Are able to analyze complex policy issues and prepare clear, concise reports and presentations • Are willing and able to travel frequently across Latin American countries • Possess strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team • Are passionate about the ride-hailing industry and are committed to promoting policies that benefit drivers, riders, and the broader community
