As the Head of Supply for our ride-hailing platform in Africa, you will lead the supply strategy and execution for the region. You will be responsible for the development, implementation, and optimization of all supply-side operations, ensuring a balanced and sustainable network of driver-partners.
You will be responsible for
Develop and implement the overarching supply strategy for the Africa region
You’ll own and optimize the supply growth process from driver acquisition to retention, driving long-term growth across all key markets in the region. You’ll also manage the supply chain through data-driven insights, leveraging predictive analytics to inform demand planning and supply strategies. The regional supply team you’ll lead includes supply managers, driver operations specialists, and data analysts, and it will be your job to ensure alignment and execution of regional objectives. Your objective will be to identify new market opportunities for supply expansion, focusing on increasing market share and driver-partner adoption in emerging cities and regions across Africa. Lead the design and implementation of driver retention strategies
Your focus will be improving satisfaction and reducing churn across diverse African markets. Oversee the collection and analysis of supply-side data
You’ll need to measure key performance metrics such as driver activation, retention, earnings, and supply-demand balance. Build strong relationships with external stakeholders
These include government bodies, regulators, and industry partners, and you’ll be ensuring the company remains well-positioned for growth.
You might be a fit if you have
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations, economics, or a related field • Bring 7+ years of leadership experience in supply chain management, operations, or a similar role, with at least three years of experience in a senior management capacity • Have a deep understanding of supply dynamics, driver-partner management, and optimization techniques • Possess advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in data-driven decision-making • Have strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels • Can set clear, long-term goals for supply growth and develop actionable plans to achieve them • Have a proven capability to lead, mentor, and inspire teams to reach ambitious targets • Can analyze market data, trends, and KPIs to inform strategic decisions • Are comfortable navigating dynamic, fast-paced environments and adapting to changing market conditions • Take a customer-centric approach with a strong commitment to improving the experience of both drivers and riders, ensuring that operational decisions align with customer needs
