Bogotá, April 2026. What appeared to be a spelling error on billboards and social media turned out to be a carefully designed strategy. Yango, a global technology company, confirmed that the change from “Montoya” to “Motoya” is part of the relaunch of its motorcycle service in Colombia, a commitment to more agile, but also more informed and safe mobility in highly congested cities.
The campaign, which quickly generated conversation in the country, connects the world of professional motorsport with urban mobility, bringing the principles of precision, speed, and data-driven decision-making to the daily lives of millions of users.
The protagonist of this new stage is Sebastián Montoya, a FIA Formula 2 Championship driver, who represents a generation that prioritizes time efficiency and the smart use of technology.
“On the track, every second counts and every decision is made based on data. It is interesting to see how that same logic applies to urban mobility, where technology helps make journeys more efficient. The motorcycle service responds to that need to move with precision and immediacy,” he stated.
In cities like Bogotá, where more than 12 million daily trips are made and nearly 887,000 are done by motorcycle, the demand for fast alternatives continues to grow. In this context, Yango Moto positions itself as a solution that combines agility with technological tools that help make better decisions on every journey.
“The relaunch of Yango Moto responds to a reality: cities need more agile, but also smarter options. Our technology analyzes variables in real time to optimize each trip and provide users with more information, more control, and more support during their journeys,” explained Mark Bitton, Country Manager of Yango Colombia.
Through its platform, Yango integrates machine learning systems that allow for traffic analysis, improved service allocation, and route optimization, contributing to reduced travel times in complex urban environments.

For his part, Juan Pablo Montoya highlighted the value of bringing motorsport logic into everyday life:
“In motorsport, trust in technology is key to making real-time decisions. Seeing how those principles are applied to urban mobility demonstrates how technology can improve the way we move every day.”
Agile mobility, with more informed decisions
The relaunch of Yango Moto not only seeks to respond to the need for speed but also to promote a more conscious use of the service. Through its app, users have tools that allow them to:
In a context where urban mobility demands increasingly efficient solutions, Yango is committed to combining technology, data, and responsibility to offer alternatives that adapt to the dynamics of cities.
With “Motoya,” the company is not just playing with a name: it proposes a new way of moving, where agility goes hand in hand with information and control in every journey.
