The transformation of modern urban flows into a unified, manageable, and efficient ecosystem became one of the key topics of discussion at the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13), held in Azerbaijan. As part of this major international event under the auspices of UN-Habitat, Yango Group presented its solutions for the digitalization of urban infrastructure, transport, and micromobility.

As part of its close cooperation with the Innovation and Digital Development Agency, as well as active engagement with relevant stakeholders, including the Ministry of Economy, the State Tax Service, and the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), Yango Group continues to consistently expand its presence in Azerbaijan. Yango’s long-term strategy is focused on sustainable development in the region, modernization of urban infrastructure, and the creation of new opportunities for local businesses. In this context, the opening of a new office in Baku and the company’s participation at WUF13 marked important milestones for Yango.

During the participation, special attention was given to Yango Group’s global mission: integrating fragmented urban systems into a single, safe, and coordinated ecosystem, while advancing the digitalization of urban services. In the B2C segment, the company showcased the development of unified lifestyle apps, where convenient route planning, live public transport tracking, and digital contactless payment services make everyday journeys as comfortable as possible for city residents. Yango’s micromobility solutions and the development of logistics services designed to optimize flows within a metropolis also drew strong interest from experts.

As one element of its comprehensive ecosystem, Yango also demonstrated its capabilities in urban analytics. Yango services aggregate anonymized datasets and can help municipalities address complex urban challenges. The company’s tools make it possible to model traffic flows to reduce congestion, optimize schedules and fine-tune public transport networks, as well as analyze areas with low transport accessibility in order to improve them effectively.

“Participation in WUF13 in Baku and the expansion of our presence in Azerbaijan, including the opening of a new office, confirm Yango’s commitment to being a reliable long-term infrastructure partner for the country. Our goal is to introduce technologies that help cities develop and transition toward convenient digital mobility. We see enormous potential for sustainable development in Azerbaijan and will continue investing in solutions that make the urban environment more comfortable for every resident,” Yango representatives emphasized.
